Getting people talking – Time to Change

Time to Change is looking for people with experience of mental health problems to talk to the public about mental health.

When?: Saturday 31st March 2012
Where?: Time to Change Village, Riverside walkway at London’s South Bank

  • The Time to Change Village is a pop-up space where people can learn about mental health in a fun and interactive way. The Village has all the things you might expect to find in villages and towns across the world: a health centre, library, café, post office, cinema and a news agent. But there’s a twist –each of these areas will provide a unique opportunity to get people talking.- By chatting to volunteers at the Time to Change Village, the public can find out more about what it’s really like to live with a mental health problem. This helps to challenge the stereotypes which often lead to discrimination.Volunteer places are available on a first come first served basis with a deadline to respond by:

This recently founded group is a warm initiative aimed at arranging walks for service users and carers.
Its a great way to brighten up November and a nice way to meet others along the way.
