Opportunity to join a new Social Enterprise

We are always looking to welcome new people to join our team.

If you have lived experience of mental ill-health or of caring for someone who does, you would be very welcome to apply to work with us, either on projects or in our office.

We are looking for people to undertake a wide range of project work.

You should have a good level of understanding and some experience of working in one or more of the following areas:

  • Working with vulnerable adults
  • Training
  • Delivering presentations / public speaking
  • Project management

For most of our project work we provide training; usually a combination of classroom and experiential training.

To undertake any client work, you must also be able to provide a CRB or DBS which is less than 5 years old. Having something recorded will not usually prevent you from working with us.

For our office work, we are looking for people with experience in one of more of the following areas:

  • General admin
  • Office management / PA
  • Book-keeping
  • IT (software and / or hardware)
  • Windows: Word / Excel / PowerPoint

We are happy to provide training in some areas if you already have skills and experience in one or more of the above.

Our office is based in a quiet street in London SE17.

We also actively welcome people without lived experience to join our office team as volunteers.

Although EbyE (Consultants and office workers) is fairly well balanced in terms of gender, and has diversity in terms of ethnicity, we actively welcome people from BME backgrounds, as we would like our workforce to be made up of people from a wider range of BME backgrounds.

All of our workers are required to register with HMRC as self-employed, and to make an annual on-line return. This is a simple process, and we have an office worker who can help you (on a paid basis) should you wish. He can also give you general advice for free.

Carers Privacy & Dignity Focus Group

SLaM (South London & Maudsley) are currently running a series of Focus Groups in order to highlight issues with Privacy & Dignity within both inpatient and outpatient care spheres.
To be treated with privacy and dignity can mean many things to different people. Examples of these include, attitudes and behaviours of staff, communication, the environment, privacy to protect peoples modesty, confidentiality, to have nutritional needs met and to be free from abuse.

  • It is often the case that carers know a huge amount about where there are holes in service provision and where problems are to be found, as well how to fix them and improve things!
  • If you are a carer then this focus group is for you or perhaps you know or have a great carer in which case please let them know.View the flyer for this event CLICK HERE:Carers Privacy Dignity Flyer 2012
