Young Carers Conference 2014Posted: June 2, 2014
Saturday 14th June 15:00 – 17:00
We are pleased to invite you to the Southwark Young Carers Conference 2014, which will be held on 14th June at the Walworth Methodist Church main hall, 3-5pm.
A young carer is someone aged 25 or under who helps look after a relative because of their condition, such as a disability, illness, mental health condition, or a drug or alcohol problem.
The majority of young carers look after one of their parents or care for a brother or sister.
Are you a young carer or do your children sometimes provide care? Would you like to find out about support available? Or are you looking for a fun afternoon out with your family?
Then come along to the Southwark Young Carers Conference, which will be held from 2-5pm in the main hall of the Walworth Methodist Church on 14th June 2014. As well as information stalls there will be free food from Nando’s, music from a former X factor star, a football skills performer and more entertainment for people of all ages.
If you’d like to come, we would appreciate it if you could let us know so we can prepare a goody bag and enter you into our prize draw. Please call Ruth on 07477 105 741 to register your interest.
