Talking about Talking therapies and Patient Training event

Hello,

I hope this finds you well. Here is information about a couple of upcoming events we wanted to share with you. Please circulate the information to other groups or individuals who you think it may be of interest to.

Talking about Talking Therapies

Following a review in 2013 it was found that there was not equal access to talking therapies for all Southwark residents. As a result the CCG are in the process of evolving a service specification for future talking therapies in Southwark and are seeking the views of local residents to inform its development. Further background details about why we are doing this and what patients have previously told us can be found on the Get Involved pages of the CCG website page.

To explore this with local people we are having an engagement event on 8 April to discuss the options. You can book for the engagement event online directly and the full details can be seen on the flyer which is also attached to this email.  If you are unable to attend this event but still want to contribute you can complete the online survey as well.

Training for Patients who want to have a say in shaping local health services

There are still a couple of spaces available for the next patient training session that we are delivering on 26 March. You can book a place for this online or by contacting the Membership and Engagement team on 020 7525 7888. This session will be helping participants to develop ‘Skills for Successful meetings’ and is being delivered in conjunction with the Consultation Institute. More details can be found on our website.
