Nijinsky talk tomorrow

Author Lucy Moore will be joining us to talk about the subject of her recent biography: dancer Vaslav Nijinsky (1890-1950).
Signed copies of her new book, Nijinsky: A Life will also be available to purchase (by cash or cheque only)

“Arguably the greatest dancer of the twentieth century, Nijinsky transformed the world of ballet. … His turbulent relationship with powerful impresario, Sergei Diaghilev, not only propelled him to stardom, but made him into a gay icon before such a thing had been dreamt of. But when Nijinsky escaped Diaghilev’s control by eloping with a starstruck young follower of the Ballet Russes, their personal and professional association was shattered. Unable to work, Nijinsky’s world fell apart.”

Saturday 7 December, Bethlem Archives and Museum
Free talk and book-signing 14.00 – 15.30
Please book in advance by emailing debbie.shipton@slam.nhs.uk
