Lambeth and Southwark wellbeing network will be relaunching as a joint venture between both boroughs on Tuesday, 9 July from 3pm at the Employment Academy, 29 Peckham Rd, SE5 8UA http://www.employmentacademy.org.uk/contact/how-to-find-us/
The aim of this event is to share and discuss the latest knowledge and evidence on promoting wellbeing for all as well as decide how we might use this information to inform our work now Public Health are based within the local authority. For example; our work in children’s services on parenting, built environment and wellbeing and economic wellbeing. We will be hearing from Cllrs Jim Dickson and Catherine McDonald as well as a keynote speech from Dr Lynne Friedli (freelance researcher and author of the WHO report ‘Mental health, resilience and inequalities’ http://www.centreforwelfarereform.org/who-we-are/fellows/lynne-friedli.html) at 6pm with some wine and nibbles. There will be a session on how best to develop information and training for frontline staff and help to generate the top five tips for both boroughs around the ‘five ways to wellbeing’ to inform our social marketing work. http://www.neweconomics.org/publications/entry/five-ways-to-well-being-the-evidence
